Stretch

Do you ever have the feeling you have stretched yourself too thin? I am experiencing that feeling at this very moment. On the bright side pretty much all of my projects and activities are positive so I look forward to working on them however it is daunting to see a planner filled with little free time. This is when I begin to second guess my schedule. Also, my 21st birthday is next Tuesday and I'm confident some shenanigans will occur to throw everything slightly off track!

This weekend I am traveling to Sacramento to attend an awesome political convention with speakers, political leaders from around California and student voices. It is going to be crazy and I don't expect to sleep much between work and play. Once I get back I have three Associated Student meetings a week, nannying two days a week and a myriad of random meetings connecting to a benefit I'm organizing for the Monterey Rape Crisis Center in April to an internship I'll be applying to in March. How to stay motivated? Oprah. Seriously. Check her out.

Do you ever make promises you thought for sure you could keep at the time and then time itself slips away from you? My best friend lives in Long Beach and I promised her to visit this month but between traveling and service learning on Sundays I seriously don't have time. I want to be irresponsible but something is holding me back. Friends have pretty much concluded its OCD!

Who knows! At this point, if anyone out there can motivate some bad behavior I'm open to listening!

I have to say that I completely agree with you Happy Thoughts!!!! I know exactly what its like to have so many things to do but just not enough time to do it. Sometimes I wish there could be a few more hours in the day that I could maybe just relax…but then I think if there were more hours would I make more things for myself to do. Just something to think about, because if your anything like me then more hours would mean more stuff to do. :)

On another note, Happy Early Birthday!!! I just turned 21 last month and ever since then it’s been a constant party. I’m the baby of my household and now that I have finally turned 21 there are so many more activities and things to do. So just wait things are going to get even crazier and time consuming when your Birthday comes. But I’m sure you’ll have a blast. Its not really that exciting being another year older its just the fact that you never have to worry about any places you and your friends want to go which makes more plans in that planner. I know more activities to plan for isn’t what you need but these up coming events will be things that you want to do not what you have to do.

Don’t worry things always seem to work themselves out. I’ve come to the conclusion that if you want to be involved with all different kinds of activities, work, go to school, and even have some time for yourself you have to sometimes make sacrifices. There are times when I don’t get as much sleep as I would want to or don’t get to go visit the people I want to and it’s tuff to make those decisions but sometimes that’s what it takes. Everything tends to work itself out in the end and you will get everything that you have worked for and probably more. All I can say from my own experiences is that if you work yourself too hard and don’t take any time for yourself you will wonder what things could have been and I hate thinking that way. Even though you are working hard and getting everything done you have to make sure that you are happy with your life and if you are then that’s all that matters. Take care girl!!! You are a very intelligent and caring person and that will take you many places in life. :)
